Tintern Abbey

We see into the life of things.

If this

continues, continue

insatiable desire will

till we are consumed

when nothing is left

but an empty life

cluttered with a life of things

I extended the lines 46-7 of “Tintern Abbey”. My short poem is not in blank verse nor does it contain descriptive words like Wordworth’s poem. At first glance, my poem seems to be a stark contrast to Wordworth, but it implies one of the themes in Tintern Abbey: look to nature, not to man-made things.
